The Madonna High School Alumnae Association Events

The Madonna High School Alumnae Association facilitates the efforts of the Madonna Foundation to continue the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago’s mission of education and faith.

These events generate vital funds to keep our mission alive, as well as create opportunities for our members to connect and encourage involvement to support the ministry of Catholic secondary education for young women.

2024 Annual Spring Alumnae Luncheon

Our 2024 Annual Spring Alumnae Luncheon assembled 200 people to celebrate US! We prayed, we sang the school song, we feasted on delicious LaVilla cuisine, we reconnect and most of all we honored special alumnae with the Spirit of Madonna Award. This year’s honorees the Franciscan Sisters of Chicago, Rosa De Luna Frede Class of 91 and Terri Roeslmeier Class of 74 were bestowed the award for their dedication to the Madonna Foundation, in true Madonnian fashion. It is always a special day when we gather in honor of each other. April 14, 2024, did not disappoint!!

Madonna Foundation Annual Luncheon

This year’s annual luncheon was held on April 23, 2023, at La Villa Restaurant and Banquets – as you may remember, a local establishment just down the road from our beloved Madonna High School. Over 170 alumane enjoyed a family-style luncheon, signature drink, school-themed raffles baskets, and a split pot. In addition, several former Madonna High School faculty members joined in the festivities, including Ms. Carsello, Ms. Sigl, Sr. Helene Galuszka, Sr. Jeanne Marie Toriskie, Sr. Emilie Marie Lesniak, Mrs. Wendy Miller, and Mrs. Denise Makowski.

We attempted to sing our school fight song as well as the school song, but we’ll admit, we were a bit rusty – we’ll have to practice for next year! Mark your calendars, and we’ll see you in April 2024 for our next annual luncheon!
